Boston College basketball unveiled their 2023 out-of-conference schedule Monday, with some interesting matchups ahead of their ACC calendar.

The Eagles begin their season on November 6 at home against Fairfield, a competitive MAAC team before heading down to South Carolina to face The Citadel four days later. They then host Richmond and Harvard from there to gear up for the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City, a four-team tournament where they'll open up against Colorado State on the 22nd and they'll face either Creighton or Loyola Chicago the following day in a championship or consolation game depending on the win/loss.

Following the trip to KC, they get a five-day break to prepare for the ACC/SEC challenge -- they'll travel to Nashville to face Vanderbilt. They get two more home games to begin December against Central Connecticut and Holy Cross before heading to the Garden -- they'll take on St. John's at MSG and finish up the OOC schedule on December 21 at home vs. Lehigh.

BC went 7-6 during the OOC schedule last season, which saw some of the more disappointing losses of the year against Maine, Tarleton State, and Stonehill. The early-season struggles, however, could largely be blamed on the fact that leading scorer Quinten Post didn't return until New Year's Eve against Syracuse.

The ACC also went with a new path this year; they had been running the Big 10/ACC challenge for years but instead will be facing the SEC this year amid ESPN losing Big 10 streaming rights in the inaugural SEC/ACC challenge. As mentioned above, BC will face Vandy.
