Boston College dropped to 1-3 on the year Saturday afternoon, getting blown out of the water by Louisville, 56-28.

The Cardinals scored seven touchdowns on their first seven drives, with Louisville tacking on a total of 585 yards on the BC defense. They jumped out to a 28-0 lead early in the second quarter and never looked back, and they continued to pile it on. Jack Plummer was 18-of-21 passing, throwing for 388 yards and five touchdowns, and Jawhar Jordan also rushed for 134 yards on 18 carries for the Cardinals.

The Eagles were able to put up a respectable 28 points behind a solid day from Thomas Castellanos, as the sophomore went 17-for-33 through the air for 265 yards and three touchdowns.

Ryan O'Keefe had five catches for 86 yards and Lewis Bond had four catches for 71 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Joe Griffin additionally had 76 yards on five catches, while on the ground Kye Robichaux tallied nine carries on 40 yards and Castellanos had a similar 10 rushes for 79 yards -- though the offensive prowess wasn't close to Louisville's monster game offensively.

BC looks to bounce back against Virginia next Saturday back at home.
