'24 Cedric Lott Jr. second WR decommitment this week for Boston College

Boston College recruit Cedric Lott Jr. has decommitted from Boston College, he announced Monday night. This is the second Texas receiver in the class of '24 to decommit from the Eagles in the past week after Josiah Martin announced his decision Friday.

"With all due respect, I'd like to thank God for the many opportunities, However i'm honored to have received an offer from BC," Lott wrote in his social media post. "In addition i've decided to de-commit and re-open my recruitment. Hopefully, my decision is understood and respected."

Lott is a three-star recruit on 247Sports, and was the last receiver in the '24 recruiting class of BC before he decommitted -- leaving no wideouts now in the current class. Not only did Lott and Martin decommit, but four-star receiver Keondre Henry also decommitted this summer as well -- another fellow Texas receiver.

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound recruit in Lott out of Mesquite, TX committed to BC on June 30 as part of a large batch of commits. The move from Lott cuts the '24 class down to just 11 commits.
