Updated: Oct 6

2024 recruit Josiah Martin decomitted from Boston College Friday night, the second wide receiver from Texas to decommit from the Eagles after four-star Keondre Henry decommitted this summer. Martin was a three-star receiver according to 247.
"Dear Boston," Martin said on social media. "First I would like to thank god and my family for providing me with immense support throughout this rigorous process. I want to thank the whole Boston college coaching for believing in me and my abilities and giving me a once in a lifetime opportunity to fulfill my childhood dreams! With that being said, after speaking with my family I have decided to Decommit from Boston College and re-open my recruitment. Thank you and please respect my decision."
Martin visited BC in June and announced his official commitment afterward. As AJ Black notes, BC now has 12 commits in the class of '24, and Cedric Lott is the only receiver in that class. Martin had 38 offers according to 247, including Alabama.
